At Blondie’s Beef, we take pride in offering high-quality steaks that are perfect for any occasion. To help you make the most of your steak experience, we've put together a step-by-step guide on how to cook the perfect steak. Whether you prefer a juicy ribeye, a tender sirloin, or a luxurious filet mignon, these instructions will ensure that your Blondie’s Beef steak turns out deliciously flavorful and cooked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • Blondie’s Beef steak of your choice (ribeye, sirloin, filet mignon, etc.)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: steak seasoning or marinade of your choice

Instructions

1. Prepare the Steak:

  • Remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This allows the steak to cook more evenly.
  • Pat the steak dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.
  • Brush both sides of the steak with olive oil, ensuring it is well coated.
  • Season the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides. You can also use your favorite steak seasoning or marinade at this stage if desired. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.

2. Choose Your Cooking Method:

  • Grilling: Preheat your grill to high heat. If using a charcoal grill, make sure the coals are fully lit and spread evenly. Follow the grilling instructions below.
  • Pan-Searing: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Follow the pan-searing instructions below.

Grilling Instructions:

  • Place the steak on the preheated grill. For medium-rare, cook the steak for approximately 4-5 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the steak. Adjust the cooking time based on your desired level of doneness.
  • Avoid pressing down on the steak with a spatula, as this will cause the juices to escape and result in a drier steak.
  • Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes on a cutting board. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more flavorful and tender steak.

Pan-Searing Instructions:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Carefully place the steak in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare or adjust the cooking time based on your desired level of doneness.
  • Once cooked, remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes on a cutting board.

5. Resting and Serving:

  • Letting the steak rest after cooking is crucial to ensure it remains juicy and tender. During this time, the steak continues to cook slightly and allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
  • After resting, use a sharp knife to slice the steak against the grain. This ensures a more tender bite.
  • Serve the steak hot and enjoy it on its own or paired with your favorite sides such as roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad.
